What it is
Pocket Toolkit puts a set of everyday measuring and utility tools in one calm, ad-free app: bubble and 360° levels, a compass, a magnifier, on-screen and calibrated rulers, unit and materials calculators, a flashlight, timers and a metronome, sound-level and magnetic-field meters, an on-device text reader (OCR), AR distance estimation, GPS coordinates, and more. Everything runs fully offline — the app has no internet permission and makes no network requests.
How it respects you
- No account and no sign-in — just open a tool and use it.
- No ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases.
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising ID.
- Your calibrations, notes and favorites are stored locally on your device and are never sent anywhere.
- Hardware tools (camera, microphone, location, sensors, torch) ask for permission only when you open the tool that needs them, and everything they read is processed on the device.
Device notes
Some tools depend on your phone's hardware. If a sensor, camera, or AR capability is not available on your device, the app tells you and disables just that tool. Text recognition (OCR) runs on-device. AR distance requires a device supported by Google Play Services for AR. Estimation tools (sound level, magnetic field, on-screen ruler) are helpful approximations, not certified instruments.
